What to Expect...

Live Performance

There will be a cast of people running around the aisles and on stage acting out the movie. You'll see all your favorite Rocky characters live in living color.

Though audience members are encouraged to interact with the cast members before and after the show it is important that you remain seated unless told otherwise. For your safety, and ours, you will be asked to stay off of the stage during the show.

18+ Performance

Due to venue restrictions, our admission to weekly performances at the Alamo Drafthouse Village is limited to those ages 18 and up.

Performances at outside venues may have different restrictions regarding age so please check with the host venue before purchasing tickets to any of our performances.

Please note that there will be some obscene language, partial nudity, and simulated "sex scenes."

Audience Participation

The Rocky Horror Picture show is centered around audience participation. This means that at different points during the film, you will be asked to dance, use props and, on occasion, interact with a cast member. Audience participation is crucial to the Rocky Horror experience. If you are expecting to quietly enjoy a film, you should probably see something else.

Prop Bags

Prop bags are pretty necessary to gain the full Rocky Horror experience. Each bag (sold at $5) contains all items necessary for audience participation including a sheet of newspaper, a glowstick, a rubber glove, a noisemaker, a roll of toilet paper, a party hat, and some cards.

DUE TO THEATER RESTRICTIONS, THE FOLLOWING ITEMS ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED: PRUNES, TOAST, RICE, HOT DOGS, WATER GUNS, OPEN FLAMES, AND CONFETTI.

Virgins

You are considered a Rocky Horror Virgin if you have never before seen The Rocky Horror Picture Show performed live before. You will be marked with a "V" and asked to participate in a Virgin "sacrifice."

Call Lines

There will be some cast yelling things into the audience and over character dialogue. If you ask them to stop screaming, they will probably scream louder. Don't worry though, this is completely normal and is actually encouraged. If you feel compelled to scream something in response to the film please do so. We love that shit.
